Freshman Michael Chung and junior Steven Chung home-schooled before MVHS
Freshman Michael Chung and junior Steven Chung may look like any other public school student, but they come from a much more unique background. The two brothers are home school veterans that transferred to MVHS for a public high school experience. The tradition runs in the family as their elder sister and younger twin brothers were also home-schooled. Their mother, with the assistance of textbooks and lecture videos, has been responsible for designing their curriculum. Every year the brothers take the state-administered California Achievement Test to ensure that they are at par with public-schooled students.
