What does the Jersey Shore cast do when they’re not filming? Not much
Thought Angelina Pivarnick of the “Jersey Shore” was good for something other than starting fights and sleeping with her roommate? Well, frankly you’re wrong.
Self-proclaimed “Queen of Staten Island”, “Jersey Shore” ex-cast member Angelina Pivarnick has not only found ways to annoy the members of the “Jersey Shore” house, but people across the country. With the release of her new rap song “I’m Hot,” this guidette introduces herself as “… the bad … girl yeah from the hood… busting down the doors in Hollywood,” followed by four minutes of incoherent lyrics. The four minute song goes to show that the $30,000 made per episode cannot buy talent.
Using second-grade rhyme schemes such as “I shop and just can’t stop,” it is clear that it’s not a question of whether or not this piece is a mess, but how serious of a train-wreck it is. In a combination of a confused Ke$ha meets Nicki Manaj gone Alvin and the Chipmunks, Pivarnick herself even admitted her track flopped by stating, “This song was supposed to be a catchy and playful song! I didn’t wanna release the song because truthfully I think the song needed a lot more work! In blunt terms it sucked!” And for once, this Jersey Shore drama queen might have been right.
While Angelina is off recording, roommate Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is writing a book. Yeah that’s right, a book. “A Shore Thing” will be released in early 2011 as the first of many Snooki products. While admitting to only reading two books in her life (the surprisingly lengthy “Dear John” and “Twilight”), it is preposterous to think Snooki’s book will have any possible intellectual introspection (then again, that’s what people said about Lauren Conrad, former star of reality shows “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills,” whose book “L.A. Candy” topped the New York Times Best Sellers List). Despite the doubtful critics, this reality T.V. star said this book was not written with the help of others. Perhaps this faux-Italian will be hitting the book signings instead of the tanning salon. And Snooki isn’t the only one—roommate Vinny Guadagnino is also considering penning a novel.
While partying and entertainment may be in their job titles, other castmates are experimenting with different careers from fashion to fitness. Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Jenni “JWOWW” Farley are both eyeing careers in the clothing industry. With a fun, flirty, and barely-there approach to fashion, both girls are making and selling their own clothes, although they hardly wear any. While Jersey Shore may have opened doors for the eight housemates in business and opportunities, they sure know how to make the best of it.
Getting paid at least $30,000 an episode, it is no surprise the cast of the Jersey Shore can take advantage of the opportunities MTV has presented, while continuing to do what they do best. Drink, party and sleep.
