Sarah Palin gone loopy to go to the Tea Party convention
Sarah Palin joined the Tea Party for a $100,000 speech. And they absolutely adored her. In fact, each audience member paid about $349 extra just to see her talk.
The first national convention of the Tea Party movement located at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn. had a low turnout, probably due to the $549 ticket to get in. The convention also showcased a former Congressman Tom Tancredo’s immigrant bashing and Sarah Palin’s more than subtle hints about the 2012 presidential elections.
What in the world is Palin thinking?
First, she left her governor post, went on a lucrative book tour, and then joined Fox News as an analyst. Now, she associates herself with some Tea Party group that has members who say things like “If this country becomes 30 percent Hispanic we will no longer be America” and then goes on to bash other ethnic groups.
Well, according to this definition of an all-white America, Cupertino is no longer American, and, in a several years, Santa Clara County won’t be either
The Tea Party movement started off as a movement against Obama’ stimulus bill, which I agree was quite botched up (why are all these bankers getting bonuses now?) but this for-profit group is currently just another political army of ignorant and narrow-minded people.
There is nothing wrong with Sarah Palin until she begins to have opinions about world issues which are, at best, illogical. With the huge following that Palin has, she should just drop out of politics and start a clothing company where she can sell “Wasilla style” dresses.
Enough with the tea. Coffee anybody?
