Matadors lost 3-0 against Salinas Cowboys
On Nov.14, the varsity girls volleyball team lost to Salinas Cowboys 3-0 in the second round of CCS, ending the season with a 20-13 record overall and a 11-1 league record.
"We had an off day, and we probably could have won," co-captain senior Victoria Lee said. "[The Cowboys] were defeat-able"
Faced with a team that was seated to win first in CCS, the Madators were slightly intimidated.
"We didn’t get the feeling that we could beat them until maybe the second or third set," junior Lucia Lin said.
By the time the Matadors had regained their confidence, it was already too late.
"We were kind of disappointed since we had hoped to go farther in CCS," Lin said.
