Global Outreach Commission will host their second annual Pancake Breakfast
“Having pancakes before breakfast gives a sense of warmth, and breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” commissioner junior Shalini Pyapali said. “We decided to continue it this year because we really liked the concept of having breakfast at school.”
Tickets are sold in the rally court but will also be sold at the door for $5. Sophomore Jacqueline Maslyn won a free ticket from an almond guessing contest that took place on March 18. Profits will be donated to Rebuilding Silicon Valley, an organization that repairs and rehabilitates homes for the disabled or needy.
“We thought it would be doing something nice to donate money to people who have been affected by the economy,” Pyapali said. “And since the association helps Silicon Valley, we also though they could help people in our area.”
