Homemade Hipster: Galbi

Jahan Razavi

Galbi, a type of Korean BBQ, is a variation of American grilling, involving a sweet and tangy sauce which is different from the normal BBQ sauce. The main difference is the sesame oil, which gives it a taste that helps cut down any possible gaminess from the meat. It’s a quick and simple meal to make and can be served with rice. Marinades can be bought from your local store. The best meat to use is beef short rib, since it is easier to prepare, while the bone adds flavor overall. Watch the video below to see the process.
