Update 11/13/11: Audio clips of the full speeches by Stephen Gilmore and William Peacock are now included at the bottom.

In spite of the slight showers, Cupertino held its annual Veterans Day memorial Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park. This year, the celebration focused on veterans of the Vietnam War. Towards the end of the ceremony, a new boulder commemorating Vietnam veterans with the phrase “Thank you, and welcome home” was unveiled, and all the Vietnam veterans present presented a wreath to The Traveling Vietnam Wall. The traveling wall arrived Nov. 9, and will leave Nov. 13. MVHS Variations performed the National Anthem, “Pacem” and “America the Beautiful.”
