With the start of the school year, Science Olympiad has began screening members for the 2018-19 team. A club dedicated to competition-level science, Science Olympiad members compete in various invitational, regional and state-level competitions during the latter half of the year. In order to become a member, one must meet certain requirements, determined through a screening procedure. According to junior Akshay Bharadwaj, captain of the Experimental Design and Protein Modeling events, screening consists of two parts: a test tailored to the subject one is applying for and an informal interview with the officers.
