Get on board to the cool-bandwagon of iTunes’ most popular applications. As we all know, popular things do not exactly correlate to being amazing. But some do. As Apple’s iTouch, iPhone, and iPad units sell quickly, the demand for applications becomes even stronger. Here is the list of the top five free and paid apps according to iTunes.  We all love free things. It doesn’t cost us anything but memory space—and sometimes our dignity. Here are the top five free apps: 5. Scary Prank – Applicable for one good laugh. Afterwards, it seems lame. Scary Prank tricks people in to thinking that they are playing a game, but instead a scary monster pops up to spook them. Great for ages from four to seven and immature teenagers.4. Spy Cams – Waiting for that trip to Hawaii? Instead of waiting, use Spy Cams which shows live footage from different places in the world. Worried you won’t get to see the people? Guess again, Spy Cams even allows you to watch other people eating! 3. Touch Pets Cats – If you’re not a real cat person, Touch Pets Cats gives down-loaders a chance to decorate their own house and select ‘virtual’ cats of their choice, almost like a simplified Nintendog. Users can play, feed, and groom their cats.  2. Smurfs’ Village -This game is free. Psych!  Smurfs’ Village is free at first, but users are extremely limited in their activities since Smurfberries cost money and are needed to advance in the game. Smurf’s Village is where users build their own village, play mini-games, and communicate with other users as Smurfs. 1. Train Conductor – Possibly the only legitimate free app. Train Conductor is a game in which users guide trains through obstacles with their finger, which requires quick reflex skills. The game is easy to complete in one sitting and is a simple way to wait for the day to be over. It almost seems like a paid app—but it‘s not. Times are tough, but so are you. You are willing to sacrifice some money to get more—more pleasure. Here are the top five paid apps:5. Angry Birds Halloween ($.99) – Games with a spin-off only means that the originals were pretty darn awesome. The Halloween version of Angry Birds, a brain teaser in which players try to kill pigs and pumpkins with birds, has only 45 levels compared to the original, which has 195. Get this version only after buying the original for the same price. 4. Fruit Ninja ($.99) – Best played after eating all of your Halloween candy. Fruit Ninja is a fast-paced test of hand-eye coordination in which the flying fruits must be slashed before landing. Although the game may be frustrating at times with an insensitive device, practice makes perfect.3. TextPics – Creative SMS Art for iPhone Texting ($.99) – Introducing: smiley-cons on steroids.  With TextPics, iPhone users can now send photos made of quotations, parentheses, and dashes that form bunnies, balloon hearts, snowmen, and birthday cakes—now with regular updates! Paying to send big images is totally the new thing.2. Cut the Rope ($.99) This is only for people who can handle an immense amount of fun. Cut the Rope is a strategy and puzzle game, in which players must feed a little green monster candy by cutting multiple ropes with the player’s finger. This is much harder than it sounds, but that’s part of the fun.1. Angry Birds ($.99) Behold—the best game ever. Not only is the game easy to understand, but it is also extremely addicting with close to 200 levels. Angry Birds is a strategy and puzzle game like Cut the Rope, in which users must shoot the birds to kill all the pigs protected in forts. Each bird has a different skill, and the levels get increasingly harder.
