Every day during the week of Sept. 19, 23 red folders designated for each teacher absent were laid out at 7 a.m. for their respective substitutes to pick up. Some of the substitutes were former MVHS teachers who, according to Front Desk representative Diane Howard, are often contacted by teachers who know they will be absent a certain day.
