Sunny and clear afternoon weather on March 15 and 16 found the Matadors triumphantly defending their home court, despite missing key players in both competitions. No. 1 singles player senior Aditya Prabhakar found himself absent against both Menlo-Atherton HS and Los Gatos HS due to an injured wrist. No. 3 singles player junior Lenny Lin and No. 3 doubles player senior Neil Palleti were both missing in the competition against Los Gatos HS.

Notwithstanding the resulting shifts in lineups, the Matadors pulled through to clean victories of 6-1 against both schools. Matches against LGHS were especially short, with some players finishing in only 45 minutes due to strong serves and volleys. Click below to see photos of the games.

The Matadors’ next home meet will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29 against Carmel HS.
